Statement

When approached in respect and humility any subject reveals its hidden nature. All of my work is an attempt to coax the invisible to become visible.

From each soul there shines an individual light that replicates the stardust of which all things are made. Many cultures and traditions reflect this understanding. Hindu scholars studied the light from within in the Vedas and Jewish sages wrote of it the mystical text the Kabbalah. My lens extends the wisdom of my soul thoughtfully seeking this inner radiance of my subjects. I carefully search for opportunities where natural light provides the main source, since light is the most essential ingredient of photography. Whenever possible I try to harness the illumination provided by our life-giving star to light my subjects’ own inner spark.
